What We Do
Treat Yourself Wellness offers Therapeutic Yoga services to support bringing the body back into optimal balance and alignment, using a holistic and ancient therapeutic approach. By addressing ALL layers of your being, Angela will work with you to find the ROOT CAUSE of your condition, so you can start implementing small, easeful, and even pleasurable yoga therapy practices and techniques to manifest strength, energy, healing, repair and ideal health. Using a variety of different offerings, Angela will support you in overcoming what ails you, so you can get back to living the life you deserve!

Hi! I'm Angela Hansen, founder of Treat Yourself Wellness and The Yoga Therapy to Heal, Freedom Formula program for chronic pain. After years of living with chronic pain, PTSD, and surgery recovery, I finally learned what I need to do to address all of my ailments in a way that I can truly overcome them. It took me years of trial and error, education, and perseverance and now my goal is to share what I have learned with others, so they don't need to go through all the suffering, struggling, and searching as I did.

You will have 24 weeks access to the online coaching sessions, life time access to the private online community and all course materials and practices. This online training is a completely self-paced online course – you decide when you start and you have 12 months to present all course assessments.
No. Yoga therapy is designed to meet you where you are at - flexible, recovering from surgery or injury, or with limited mobility. All walks of life are able to practice Yoga Therapy, and each practice is designed to improve mobility, strength, flexibility, and more! Chair, bed, and standing-only practices are used to customize each client's needs.
You can pay for online programs over the phone, or by e-transfer, or if you are in person you can pay with cash or cheque.
Practicing yoga will build strength, but some types of yoga may not raise the heart rate sufficiently. It depends on the type of yoga you select and how frequently you practice it. For successful weight loss, a healthy diet must be maintained while burning calories through exercises that raise your heart rate on a regular basis.
Yes, please bring forward any pre-existing medical or physical conditions so that Angela can customize the practice for your personal needs. Whether that means a one-on-one private session or online programming is a better option for you, practicing with openness, honesty, and communication will result in a more safe and more productive practice. Yoga Therapists often connect directly with your doctor or other practitioners, with your consent, to work together for your optimal health.
It is designed to take approximately 6 months from a start date that is decided between you and Angela. We at Treat Yourself Wellness understand that each body and mind is different. We have accountability coaches and check-ins to support you staying on track, but also allow you the time and space to complete it that suits you and your lifestyle.
There are so many different styles of yoga and meditation out there. I totally understand where you are coming from with this questions because it is something I struggled with in my journey too. I tried numerous different styles of yoga and meditation, but they were not geared toward a therapeutic application and especially for those with chronic pain. The yoga therapy practices we will be doing are fine-tuned to ensure awareness during practice is geared to help those with chronic pain and other ailments. So, yes and no, it might be similar, but very different in the way we approach it.
